Chocolate Chip Cookies
These classic American cookies will become a family favorite with their crisp edges and chewy middle...the perfect combination.

- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Preheat your oven to 375 F.
Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift flour, salt and baking soda.
Gradually beat in flour mixture to your wet ingredients.
Fold in chocolate chips and pecans (if desired).
Bake 8-10 minutes.
Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes.
Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
